Nice to be remembered.
— Antony to Hannibal Lecter

Antony Dimmond [1] is an acquaintance of the former curator, Dr. Roman Fell, of the Capponi Library in Florence, Italy. He worked as a teaching assistant for Roman Fell at Cambridge.

Season 3

In the episode "Antipasto", he attends a social gathering in Paris, France, where his intentions seem to be inquiring about a former colleague Roman Fell. He comes in contact with Hannibal Lecter, who is using the alias of Boris Jakov. Dimmond shares his particularly low opinion on Dr. Fell's work with him.

Later, Dimmond discovers that Lecter is using Dr Fell's name while performing a lecture on Dante in Florence. However, he decides to not tell anyone and hopes to create some kind of relationship with Hannibal Lecter, instead. That desire, unfortunately, is not mutual. Lecter later beats Dimmond to death and arranges his corpse to resemble a broken heart for Will Graham to find in Palermo.

  1. Anthony is an US version of much older British name Antony. In the script, he's named Antony (with no H) and he's also possibly a British man, based in his mentioned work at Cambridge.
