Castle Lecter was the childhood home of Hannibal Lecter where he spent his early years along with his sister Mischa, uncle Robertus and aunt Murasaki.
Hannibal was orphaned at a young age until his uncle took him in when he was 16. It is unknown if Castle Lecter was originally owned by Hannibal’s parents or if it was always in his uncles possession. If so, then it is difficult to tell when exactly, this became Hannibal's home.
The castle resides in an estate with several houses on the grounds, all belonging to the Lecter Family. A grave dedicated to Mischa Lecter resides in the estate, but it is not known if any actual remains are buried in there as she had been cannibalised.
The man who Hannibal accused of eating Mischa was kept a prisoner underneath the castle by Chiyoh, Murasaki’s handmaiden. Chiyoh was unable to kill the man but also could not set him free, so she kept him locked in a cell for over 20 years. It is unknown if the man really did kill Mischa, Hannibal later admitted to Chiyoh that he did eat Mischa, but he did not kill her.
