In the episode "Antipasto", Roman Fell attends a social gathering in Paris, France. He meets Hannibal Lecter and is killed and eaten. Hannibal mentions later on to Bedelia Du Maurier that he buried the remains of Roman "in a modest outlay for two bags of cement." Hannibal takes his name as an alias.
In the novel Hannibal, it is mentioned that Dr Fell is the only person killed by Dr Lecter after his escape. He murdered the curator for his job and buried him exactly as the episode “Antipasto” describes.
